Even simple crossfade transitions need to be cached and the slightest change to the project and the whole thing starts over again downright maddening even with the small projects that I work on. The minute you introduce motion graphics it becomes a caching stuttering mess that makes the entire project painful to work with.

Just for the record I 100% agree with you DR is awesome, until you try to do anything Fusion related including motion graphics. Resolve is getting better and better, I just want to know what the secret is in Final Cut versus all other software out there? How does Apple pull it off on my 16gb of RAM M1 mac mini? I want that level of performance with Resolve.

I love Resolve's timeline playback until you start adding in titles/motion graphics, it becomes a render caching nightmare when you're using tons of titles in the timeline. The same title openers/effects load in seconds in final cut if not faster with instant playback. Looks basically the exact same in Resolve and Final Cut but watching these things render cache in Resolve is painful.
